A downtown Cedaredge studio built by a neighbor who wished a place like this existed — co-working space, in-house printing, and design help, all under one roof.

Local. Creative. Connected. — The Lab's own words.
After more than twenty years managing projects, events, memberships, and communications for organizations across Colorado, Amy Thieme relocated to Cedaredge and opened The Lab — a studio built specifically to bring creative resources, design support, and quality printing to a small town that didn't have them yet.
"The Lab is where ideas grow, minds collide, and collaborations flourish."
That's not agency copy — it's The Lab's own mission, word for word, for a space Amy runs herself in a rural community she chose on purpose, built on integrity, acceptance, and shared values.
Everything The Lab offers, in the order most people actually need it.
A real desk in downtown Cedaredge for freelancers, remote workers, and small businesses who want somewhere to work that isn't the kitchen table — plus the community that comes with it.
Newly added in-house printing and copying — no more driving out of town for a stack of flyers or a set of copies.
Now openDesign help for the projects that pile up on a business owner's desk — formatting, layout, and marketing pieces done right the first time.
Through a partnership with JAZ Print & Promo, The Lab handles branded apparel, drinkware, and promo products — one conversation from artwork to delivery.
A weekly open hour for the community to get help with the tech that trips everyone up — no appointment, no judgment.
Wednesdays 9am–1pm
JAZ Print & Promo's own product photography — the branded merch The Lab's partnership brings to Cedaredge clients.
Every Wednesday, 9 AM–1 PM — a standing, no-cost session for anyone in the community who wants a hand with technology. Bring a laptop, a phone, a question, whatever it is.
Outside these hours, The Lab is also available by appointment — call ahead and Amy will find a time that works.
"We're building a community of thinkers, doers, and innovators in beautiful Cedaredge, Colorado." — and the involvement backs the words up.
Amy serves on the committee that connects new residents and businesses to the community they've just joined.
A local council Amy helped bring into existence, pulling Cedaredge neighbors and organizations together.
Full-service printing and branded merch for Lab clients — design it, print it, promote it, without leaving town.
A facelift is just the beginning. Here are a few possibilities we could build alongside a studio like The Lab.
These are ideas, not features of the current site — a glimpse of what a technology partner could build alongside the studio that's already here.
